Dear Ottawa, 

We tried to end it better until the very end. We fought and clawed our way through every match. We never gave up. I am proud of this team and the effort we gave. You’ve probably heard by now that I won’t be returning as Head Coach of Atlético Ottawa. I want to take this opportunity to say something about the city and people of Ottawa. I love this city. You welcomed me with open arms. Everywhere I went, I was stopped by fans excited about this club and what they are building in the community. That work will continue. I have no doubt this organization will be lifting trophies in the very near future. I will be watching from afar and supporting them every step of the way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m honoured to have been a part of the early history of this club. All the best.

Chère Ottawa,

Nous avons tenté de renverser la vapeur jusqu’à la toute fin. Nous nous sommes battus et nous nous sommes débattus à chaque match. Nous n’avons jamais abandonné. Je suis fier de cette équipe et de l’effort que nous avons fourni. Vous avez probablement entendu dire que je ne reviendrai pas dans mon rôle d’entraîneur-chef de l’Atletico Ottawa. Je voulais donc en profiter pour dire quelques mots à propos de la ville et des gens d’Ottawa. J’aime cette ville. Vous m’avez accueilli à bras ouverts. Partout où je suis allé, j’ai été rencontré par des fans enthousiasmés par ce club et ce qu’il bâti dans la communauté. Ce travail va se poursuivre. Je n’ai aucun doute que cette organisation soulèvera des trophées dans un avenir très proche. Je les observerai de loin et les soutiendrai à chaque étape. Je vous remercie du fond du cœur. Je suis honoré d’avoir fait partie des débuts de l’histoire de ce club. Je vous souhaite bonne chance.
