Atlético Ottawa has confirmed today the contract extension of Canadian midfielder Noah Verhoeven, running until the end of the 2025 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season.
Verhoeven had one year remaining on his current deal having arrived in the Canadian capital ahead of the 2023 CPL season after the 24-year-old left Ontario rivals York United.
Last season, the midfielder featured 27 times for Atlético under Head Coach Carlos González, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
Verhoeven, a product of the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency program, has been involved in the CPL since the league’s inception with Pacific FC, York United and Atlético Ottawa (115 appearances in total).
His breakout performances in the league’s inaugural season earned a call-up to the Canada Men’s National Team training camp under head coach John Herdman in 2019 as he also featured regularly for the Canadian under-20 and under-23 programs.
As Atlético Ottawa continues to chart further success in the capital, fans who are eager to secure their part can join the Atleti Family by purchasing their Season Seat Membership now. Full details on benefits and perks are available at https://atleticoottawa.canpl.ca/season-seat-memberships/
