Ottawa, ON (3 février 2021) L’Atlético Ottawa a annoncé que le défenseur central canadien Keesean Ferdinand se joint au club en prêt du Club de Foot Montréal pour la saison 2021 de la Ligue Première Canadienne.

Keesean est un défenseur de 17 ans de Rivière-des-Prairies, Québec. En Juin 2020, à seulement 16 ans, il est devenu le plus jeune joueur de l’académie à signer avec les pros de l’équipe qui évolue en MLS.

Ferdinand a également représenté le Canada à la Coupe du monde U17 de la FIFA au Brésil en 2019, partant dans deux des trois matchs disputer par l’équipe canadienne.

Keesean Ferdinand se joint à Antoine Coupland, Vashon Neufville, Ben McKendry, Brandon John et Malcolm Shaw en tant que sixième joueur annoncé par l’Atlético Ottawa pour la saison 2021 de la CPL.

Ottawa, ON (February 3^rd, 2021) Atlético Ottawa have announced that Canadian centre-back Keesean Ferdinand joins the club on loan from Club de Foot Montréal of Major League Soccer (MLS) for the 2021 Canadian Premier League season.

Keesean is a 17-year-old defender from Rivière-des-Prairies, Quebec. At just 16 years old, he became the youngest academy player to sign with the MLS team back in June 2020.

Ferdinand also represented Canada at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil, starting in two of the three games for the Canadian squad.

“Keesean is a young Canadian talent that has tremendous potential and a promising career ahead of him. We are excited to incorporate him to our team and to be a part of his growth as a player and person. Bringing Keesean on loan is part of the larger goal we have as a club to successfully contribute to the development of young Canadian players.” says Fernando Lopez, Atlético Ottawa, CEO.
