Yes, we have a match on Sunday, Sept 29 presented by CAA. GET TICKETS HERE

You’ll notice as you go through the purchase process on Ticketmaster, there is an option to add either a $5, $10 or $20 donation. If you select this option, please know that the donation will go directly to Odawa Native Friendship Centre.

But first… If you’ve never heard of the Odawa Native Friendship Centre, allow us to introduce them to you…  For the past 48 years or so, the ONFC has been providing services and programs that enhance the quality of life for those that need it. Soccer fans may have heard their name before as part of our Indigenous Soccer Program we hosted this summer, providing a barrier-free soccer experience.

With the National Day of Truth & Reconciliation a day after our match, we asked our partners at Odawa NFC on how we can best support and best be an ally.  And, here we are.

On Sunday, Sept 29 we face Halifax as we continue to push towards the CPL Playoffs. Kickoff is 2pm at TD Place. This match is an important one, presented by CAA.

What to expect? A hard fought game in front of a spectacular audience, but there’s more… Odawa Native Friendship Centre will be participating in the following way:

  1. Welcome Message: To start proceedings at the match, and representing the Odawa Native Friendship Centre, Elder Karen MacInnis will share a traditional prayer accompanied by Knowledge Keeper Greg Meekis on drum. After the prayer, Odawa’s Acting Executive Director Anita Armstrong will present Atlético Ottawa with a traditional Dreamcatcher as a gift in thanks and recognition of the club’s support of Odawa’s important work in the community
  2. Orange T-Shirts: ONFC will be selling their official “Every Child Matters” orange T-shirt on the concourse. If you’ve ever considered supporting in this way, we encourage you to buy a shirt from them, with 100% of the revenue going straight to ONFC.
  3. Halftime: The incredible volunteers and staff of the ONFC will be launching a limited number of “Every Child Matters” T-shirts into the crowd, while a group of young performers take the pitch.
  4. Donations per ticket: If you haven’t purchased your ticket already, we have added a one-time add-on to the Ticketmaster process to add either a $5, $10 or $20 donation that will go directly to ONFC.

Thank you for your support of local soccer and local initiatives. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
