Match Lookahead: Atleti host Valour FC – Sunday, 3pm at TD Place

Atlético Ottawa returns to the nation’s capital seeking to keep their hot streak going at TD Place with a clash against Winnipeg-based Valour FC (KO 3 pm ET, live on OneSoccer). With back-to-back home wins secured last time out against Vancouver FC, exciting and improved performances are complimented by the allure of Toonie Hot Dogs this weekend at TD Place.

 

Here’s everything you need to know before Sunday’s match in Ottawa.

  • F0r this one-off special match fans are allowed to bring their dogs. If you plan on bringing your pup, please remember the following:
    • Enter through Gate 4.
    • Keep your dog on leash for the entirety of the match.
    • We’re asking anyone with a dog to either sit in Section L or stand in the Log Cabin. If you have a ticket in another section, we hope you don’t mind moving to the Section L or Log Cabin.
  • Atlético Ottawa remains seventh (7th) in the Canadian Premier League table.
  • Midfielder Ollie Bassett (25) and defender Miguel Acosta (25) were named to the Canadian Premier League Team of the Week for their performances at Starlight Stadium.
    • This was Bassett’s third appearance in the TOTW after he was named Performance of the Match having scored one and created the other goal in last weekend’s stalemate.
    • This was Acosta’s first TOTW appearance of the season.
    • Striker Samuel Salter (22) scored his third goal of the season before winning the penalty that drew Atlético level.
  • Sunday’s clash at TD Place will be the first time new signings Alberto Zapater (38) and Rubén del Campo (23) will be available for selection.
  • Valour has had an inconsistent season so far as it sits in sixth (6th) place, three points ahead of Atlético Ottawa (3W-6D-3L).
    • However, goalkeeper Rayane-Yube Yesli leads the Canadian Premier League in saves (42) and clean sheets (5) whilst Ottawa-native Matteo de Brienne is second overall for interceptions (21) after an impressive start to the season at left-back.
