Match Day Guide – Oct 20 – Cricket’s Big Night

We are getting down to the final few matches at TD Place. Wednesday night under the lights, it’s Cricket’s Big Night where we hope to find Cricket – a 2 year old Potcake from Antigua – a FURever home. We face Valour FC and kickoff is 7:00pm.  The Match Day Guide is your one stop shop for the important info you’ll need to know, and maybe access on your phone while here or on your way here. Of course, if you need some tickets… GET TICKETS HERE. As with any home match, there is a quick ceremonial flag raising, which we are doing at every home match this year with a Season Seat Member. You should also be aware (in a good way) of Section W. That’s where The Bytown Boys and Capital City Supporter groups bring the noise. It’s a standing room section, so if that sounds like fun, feel free to go check them out.  Lastly, a friendly reminder to get here early. Heads up! You will only be able to access TD Place through Gate 1 Kickoff is 7:00pm. The opponent is Valour FC from Winnipeg. Also worth noting that The Sawmill at Lansdowne will be happening so expect the odd zombie sighting. In terms of transportation, riding a bike is a great way to get here. Lots of places to lock up in and around Lansdowne. Walking also works. If you are taking public transportation, remember… it’s FREE. You may need to show your ticket on your phone, if asked, but OC Transpo really came through on this one: free transit 3 hours before or after a match. Of course, if you just have to show off that 1985 Pontiac Grand Am SE, on-site parking is available HERE.

We are taking the safety of our fans seriously… All guests 12 years old and older are to be fully vaccinated. You’ll need to show proof of the double vax along with photo ID.  Face coverings will be required to be worn over the mouth and nose at all times unless eating or drinking while at TD Place, including while in your seat. There are NO IN & OUT privileges. If you leave the stadium you will not be allowed to re-enter. Cleaning procedures have been enhanced and sanitizer stations will be available throughout the venue. TD Place is a 100% cashless stadium, only debit and credit will be accepted in the stadium, no exceptions. Fans are encouraged to maintain physical distancing when moving around the concourse. And of course, please do not attend a match if you are feeling sick or demonstrating any symptoms of COVID-19. To see the full Safety Hub from TD Place, click HERE.

We always have a decent showing at home. TD Place has been good to us, mainly because of the energy from the stands. Hoping for more of the same on Wednesday.  Make sure you bring your voice. Your voice is needed! Let’s finish off the seasons strong!

Cricket is from the Eastern Ontario Potcake Rescue – a small but mighty Ottawa-based animal rescue.  And he will be at TD Place with his some of his friends. The noise may be too much for him, so he may be a little shy at first. If you see Cricket (or any of his friends) please ask the handler if its okay to say hello. Also, if you know of some dog lovers that need to be here, let them know there is always a good seat in Section N available HERE.
