The Canadian Premier League (CPL), Atlético Ottawa and official league technical provider, Macron, a leader in the international team wear market, unveiled today the club’s custom-designed alternate playing kit ahead of the 2022 season. The Atlético Ottawa Macron 2022 new kit will make its debut on April 29th when Ottawa takes on York United FC on the road.
Each jersey features a unique graphic, symbol, image, or icon that represents their home. While the look of each jersey is unique in design, developing high-quality custom kits with distinctive looks to provide the needed professional technical features while enhancing them with exciting graphic designs is the key to the Canadian Premier League / Macron partnership.
Our 2022 alternate kit is an exciting change to the red and white stripes that are iconic with Atlético Madrid. Inspired by the city of Ottawa flag colours, the blue and teal jersey colours are symbolic of the rivers and waterways known in the Ottawa region (blue). The teal represents the green spaces in the city – forests and parks. An artistic interpretation of the flag’s O, representing Ottawa proudly is embossed on the front of the jersey. No ATO jersey is complete without a nod to Atlético Madrid’s red/white stripes embellished on the sleeves.

PET is a material made of oil or natural gas and can be 100% recycled, returning to the market in the form of new eco-sustainable products. In particular, the PET gathered after its first use is reduced in 2 mm chips and subsequently treated to obtain a thread that guarantees the same performance as a virgin thread. The thread does not lose its original characteristics during its treatment and for this reason, may be repeatedly recycled. Last but not least, compared to virgin polyester, PET recycled polyester has the advantage of requiring less energy during the production chain.
