Atlético de Madrid Development – Ottawa Program

Atlético de Madrid is proud to announce alongside our sister club Atlético Ottawa, the Development Program arrival to the nation’s capital.

A selection of U23 Boys will form a team that will participate in weekly training sessions throughout the year in the same professional environment of Atlético Ottawa, at TD Place Stadium.

Program Goals

The program will serve as the base to work closely with the Powered by Clubs in developing, monitoring and nurturing players to the Atlético Ottawa first team in Canada and the Atlético de Madrid network worldwide.

The ultimate goal is to provide opportunities for players to train under the same principles and methodology of Atlético while we support the already good work, efforts and developments made by the youth local and national soccer communities in Ottawa, Gatineau, and the rest of Canada.

As our identification process continues throughout the year, a select group of participants in the Program will have the opportunity to join the Atlético Ottawa preseason and travel to Madrid, Spain to take part in an unforgettable experience once a year with Atlético de Madrid.

Ages and Profile

U23 (1999 born or later) Boys elite soccer players mainly residing in Ontario and Quebec, and its extended as well to players from the rest of Canada. Member clubs of the Powered by Atletico Ottawa program will have the first right to provide information on players to join this Program.
