Atlético Ottawa Hosts Forge FC As They Look To Extend Their Unbeaten Streak At Home To 7 Games In A Row

Atlético Ottawa returns to the nation’s capital with a crucial crunch against Forge FC at TD Place this Saturday (KO 7 pm ET, live on OneSoccer) following back-to-back wins on the road against Pacific FC and Valour FC. Atlético and Forge are level on points, however, Head Coach Carlos González and his team have a game in hand as they seek a first victory in Ottawa against the defending Canadian Premier League Playoff Champions.

  • Atlético Ottawa sits in 3rd place in the Canadian Premier League with 31 points from 20 matches.
    • Forge FC is 4th with 31 points from 21 matches.
    • This is the third meeting (all competitions) between Ottawa and Forge in 2023 (0W-0D-3L).
    • Atlético is two points off Cavalry FC in the top spot and one point behind Pacific FC in second place.
  • Ottawa picked up maximum points during a two-week road trip that saw González and his side travel to Victoria, BC, and Winnipeg, MB.
    • Midfielder Ollie Bassett has returned to goal-scoring form with three goals in the last two matches.
      • Bassett is tied for top-scorer in the Canadian Premier League with Forge FC striker Terran Campbell (10 goals each).
    • 19-year-old defender Tyr Walker (of Russell, ON) made his first two professional starts and completed 90 minutes against Valour FC.
