‘Pay What You Can’ Home Opener supporting CHEO and Lily Millett

Atlético Ottawa announces CHEO and Lily Millett as community partner for ‘Pay What You Can’ Home Opener

Atlético Ottawa has announced that CHEO and Lily Millett will be the community partner for its upcoming Pay What You Can Home Opener on April 15, 2023. A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to CHEO, with additional funds raised from in-game events. Atlético Ottawa President Jeff Hunt, joined by Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe and CHEO CEO Alex Munter, announced during a press conference on Monday.

Alex Munter said, “At CHEO, we share the values of courage, hard work and collaboration that define Atlético Ottawa. We’re grateful for the club’s generosity in dedicating the first home game to CHEO and we will be cheering loud and proud throughout the season.”

CHEO is a health and research center providing family-centred patient care and pioneering research. Lily Millette, a CHEO patient, will represent CHEO at the home opener. Lily was diagnosed with a kidney disease and is launching a fundraising effort called Lil’ Kidneys to help purchase new equipment for CHEO.

Sean Frost Real Estate Team will be the presenting sponsor making a $2,500 donation to CHEO and committing to providing Atlético Ottawa experiences all season long to CHEO families.

Last year’s Pay What You Can Home Opener raised funds for Humanitarian assistance to Support Ukranians. This year, funds will help CHEO’s team implement strategies that promote healthy active living for CHEO’s patients. Atlético Ottawa is committed to making a difference in the community and believes that everyone should have access to the beautiful game.
