Haworth was commemorated before the match, having signed his first professional contract in the capital over a decade ago. Carl’s mother, alongside other members of his family took part in the ceremonial coin flip as he was also gifted a framed version of the match day programme cover, presented by Atlético Ottawa CEO Fernando Lopéz.
Following the end of the match, the Capital City Supporters Group also gifted Carl with a limited edition “Prideraiser kit”.
