Atléti hosts Valour FC for the final regular season home match at TD Place 🏟⚡️

For the final time in the 2023 Canadian Premier League regular season, Atlético Ottawa will take to the pitch this Sunday and face Winnipeg-based Valour FC in yet another pivotal match in the hunt for a playoff position (KO 2 pm ET, live on OneSoccer). It’s expected to be one of the highest-attended matches of the season, with more seating sections being opened every day and the electric crowd synonymous with soccer at TD Place will play a massive part in pushing for three points.

Here’s everything you need to know before Sunday’s match at TD Place. 

  • Atlético Ottawa sits in 5th place in the Canadian Premier League with 33 points from 25 matches (9W-6D-10L).
    • Valour FC is 8th with 23 points from 25 matches.
    • This is the fourth meeting between Ottawa and Valour in 2023 (2W-1D-0L).
      • Last time out at TD Place, Atlético beat Valour 2-0 thanks to goals by Ollie Bassett and Zach Verhoven.
  • Club captain, and Ottawa soccer legend Carl Haworth announced this week that he will retire at the end of this season, ahead of what could be his final match at TD Place.
  • Midfielder Ollie Bassett is the top scorer for Atlético Ottawa in the fixture, with four goals (all-time).
    • Bassett currently leads the CPL goal-scoring charts with 11 goals.
  • Ottawa has reached the Canadian Premier League mandate of 2,000 u21 minutes played by Canadian players with three matches to spare.

    • Presenting partners for the match, CIBC, will also be handing out free scarves to the first 250 fans.
