Match Day Guide: Sept 1 vs York United

Match-Day-IG

Remember a few weeks back when Alberto Soto sent a screamer into the back of the net in the 89th minute? Yeah that was good time. So, more of that right? Hey the team that happened against was York United and they return Wednesday night. TD Place is absolute scenes during home matches and it’s all because of you. We continue Wednesday night at 7pm. The Match Day Guide is your one stop shop for the important info you’ll need to know, and maybe access on your phone while here or on your way here. Of course, if you need some tickets… GET TICKETS HERE. As with any home match, there is a quick ceremonial flag raising, which we aim to do at every home game this year. Trying to make it a thing. Also a thing… Section W. That’s where The Bytown Boys and Capital City Supporters groups bring the noise. It’s a standing room section, so if that is your thing, feel free to go check them out.  Lastly, a friendly reminder to get here early and please be patient with the TD Place staff. Riding a bike is a great way to get here. Lots of places to lock up in and around Lansdowne. Walking also works. If you are taking public transportation, remember… it’s FREE. You may need to show your ticket on your phone, if asked, but OC Transpo really came through on this one: free transit 3 hours before or after a match. Of course, if you just have to show off that 1987 Chrysler New Yorker (the one that speaks when “You’re door is a jar”), on-site parking is available HERE.

TD Place is a 100% cashless stadium, only debit and credit will be accepted in the stadium, no exceptions. Fans are encouraged to maintain physical distancing when moving around the concourse. TD Place does have a capacity restriction in place of no more than 75% in all outdoor seated sections. We have a pretty clean record at home people. We lost in that Canadian Championship match, but are undefeated in league play. Let’s keep it going. Make sure you bring your voice on Sunday. That’s it for now. For any additional info about attending a match at TD Place, click HERE. Vamos Atletico! #ForOttawa
