Join us Saturday June 17th for Bruce’s Big Night!
We are thrilled to introduce you to Bruce the rescue dog the star of Bruce’s Big Night in support of Eastern Ontario Potcake Rescue. Bruce is looking for his FURever home. If you recall, the past two years we have dedicated a match to a rescue dog. First there was Cricket in 2021. Then there as the gentle giant Shadow in 2022. And now there is little sweet Bruce for 2023. We play Vancouver FC – the newest member of the CPL. We played them once already at their home which saw us keep a clean sheet and put 5 past them. It was a wild night for sure, and  we are hoping for more of the same on Bruce’s Big Night!
Bruce’s Big Night will feature Bruce and many of his rescue friends along the TD Place concourse so you can say hello and see them in-person. Every dog you will see that night is available for adoption, so come early (Gates open at 1pm for 2pm kickoff) and meet them all!
There will be a signed team jersey for auction that will raise much needed funds for Bruce. If you love dogs, EOPR hosts many fundraisers and events throughout the year – all in support of rescue dogs. For more information on Eastern Ontario Potcake Rescue, click HERE.

Bruces Story:
This beautiful boy has had a very rough start to his life… but rest assured that it has not affected his big, happy and bubbly personality! Bruce is a Shepherd mix who is approximately 5-6 months old, and is a victim to incredibly cruel animal abuse. He was found as a young puppy with 2 of his paws missing. There are no words to describe how horrific what happened to him is… but we are choosing to focus only on the positive and doing everything we can to give this special boy the bright future he so deserves. Bruce has been settling into his new routine with his foster family for the last little while, and he is doing amazing!
Bruce is missing one of his hind paws and one of his front paws. This does not cause him pain, however the more he grows the more it is negatively affecting his gait and mobility. The last few days Bruce & his foster mom Julie spent time with the amazing folks at Pawsability in Toronto to be fitted for his very first set of prosthetics! They look absolutely amazing, and we are so excited to see him start to learn how to walk in them! These prosthetics will greatly improve his mobility, and his quality of life. He will need to attend some physiotherapy sessions to learn how to properly use and get comfortable with the prosthetics, and of course the prosthetics themselves are costly. As he is still growing, he will need another set of prosthetics in the future as well. If you are able to contribute in any way, no matter how big or small, please donate via e-transfer to eoprfinances@gmail.com and we’ll see you at Bruce’s Big Night on June 17th!
