Atlético Ottawa is thrilled to announce the signing of Cape Verde international winger, Gianni dos Santos, on a two-year deal. 

The Netherlands-born forward joined Pacific FC in 2021 and quickly made a name for himself in the Canadian Premier League, winning the playoff final in his inaugural campaign against Forge FC where he provided the assist for the game-winning goal. 

Dos Santos began his career with  FC Dordrecht in the Netherlands in 2017, before joining Sparta Rotterdam as a youth prospect the following season. Traditionally used on the left side, he earned his first international call-up in June of last year as Cape Verde were narrowly defeated by Ecuador in a friendly.  

Known for his pace, technical ability and eye for goal, the 24-year-old went on to score three goals and provide two assists in 23 appearances in 2022 and moves to the Capital city as an exciting prospect who has the potential to become one of the best wingers in the league.
