A look at our “Pay What You Can” Home Opener Announcement

Monday April 3, 2023 marked another monumental day for the Atleti Family with the announcement of this year’s “Pay What You Can” initiative. This yearly tradition is now a staple at TD Place and for Atlético Ottawa. For our home opener this season we are incredibly proud to partner the CHEO and Lilly Millett, with the Sean Frost Real Estate Team as the Match-Day Sponsor. A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to CHEO, with additional funds raised from in-game events.

Present at our announcement was City of Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, CHEO President & CEO Alex Munter, and most importantly Lily Millett and her family. As Lily herself endured over 60 treatments, she discovered that the dialysis unit at CHEO could use another machine and she took the initiative to begin raising funds for that. Her story has not gone unnoticed and now Atlético Ottawa and the fans can play their part in contributing towards her efforts.

“This partnership will be about helping kids live their best life. That is what soccer is about” – CHEO President & CEO Alex Munter

“When they asked me to be the Match Day Sponsor, I was so grateful for the opportunity.” – Sean Frost

“Pay What You Can, be a part of Ottawa’s soccer heroes, but also even bigger heroes at CHEO.” – Atlético Ottawa President Jeff Hunt

Last year’s Pay What You Can Home Opener raised funds for Humanitarian assistance to Support Ukranians. This year, funds will help CHEO’s team implement strategies that promote healthy active living for CHEO’s patients. Atlético Ottawa is committed to making a difference in the community and believes that everyone should have access to the beautiful game. Get your tickets now!
