Atlético Ottawa is back at TD Place for another memorable season of Canadian Premier League action. The defending Regular Season Champions remain under the tutelage of 2022 Coach of the Year, Carlos González, with a squad of experienced returning players complemented by new, exciting and league-proven recruits across the pitch.
New players aren’t the only new additions you’ll see at TD Place this season though, so let’s take a look at five changes from last year:
Torta Boyz
In the food category, Atlético Ottawa is proud to be able to host Torta Boyz throughout the entire regular season. The smell of their asada fries (or Latino poutine as they jokingly call it) emanating from Gate 6 will hit you as soon as you enter the grounds, with portions and flavour fit for a king.
Luis and Moudy, co-owners and founders of Torta Boyz are caricatured in the company’s logo and have become a true local pandemic success story. Starting in 2021 with a food truck on Preston St in Little Italy, Torta Boyz created an atmosphere that was second to only the food that they were churning out at record speeds, often selling out well before their advertised closing time. This success led to a “brick and mortar” establishment in the following year where the life-long friends, who both grew up in Ottawa, retained their authentic vibe which is now spreading to the Atlético Ottawa fanbase.
Match Day Programmes
For many professional soccer leagues around the world, a match day program is a crucial element of the experience, so much so in fact that, up until five years ago, it was compulsory for hosting clubs to print them in the English Football League (top four divisions in England and Wales). Our programs include full team rosters, a preview of the match, player features and more.
Working with Merriam Print here in Ottawa we are producing a limited number of programs (to ensure a reduced environmental impact) for each of our 14 matches at TD Place, with the front cover of each edition designed by the incredibly talented Andy Akangah of THEAKARTS. In an age of digital photos and online tickets, make sure you arrive early to get your hands on something tangible to prove you were part of the history Atlético Ottawa wrote that day – for free!
$5 beers at SEN
Atlético Ottawa remains dedicated to partnering with local businesses, especially those close to the stadium in Lansdowne Park. SEN Asian Cuisine is a local family-owned and operated restaurant, with a menu derived from recipes handed down through the Family SEN and served in a refined dining style. Lansdowne’s only local and independent business their focus is to continue being a supportive and strong element of our vibrant community.

This season we have teamed up with the Family SEN to provide an exclusive offer for Atlético Ottawa gameday ticket holders to get $5 beers. So head on over for a pre-game drink and perhaps even make a cheeky dinner reservation for some post-match festivities!
Family Game Zone (lower log cabin)
Atlético Ottawa provides a top-quality product on the field, bringing the beautiful game to within reach of your fingertips in the nation’s capital with the goal to showcase the fantastic talent that is hidden within the Great White North, especially with the 2026 World Cup being hosted in Canada, USA and Mexico.
It can, however, be hard to keep kids sat down and entertained for a full three hours but don’t worry, we have you covered. Make the most of our Family Game Zone, with interactive activities to be enjoyed by kids of all ages (and even adults too). Come check it out at the lower Log Cabin by Gate 1.
New jerseys
A new season means some new threads too with three new jerseys that will be worn throughout the 2023 campaign. Staying true to the Atlético family, the traditional red and white stripes found on our home kit focus on the City of Ottawa and the communities found within, creating a unique camouflage pattern with the away jersey a nod to the long, harsh yet beautiful winters found in the nation’s capital.
Our third jersey this year is a special one and we couldn’t be more proud to see our partnership with Shelter Movers Ottawa blossom and leads us to the creation of this unique design, giving us the opportunity to veer away from the club’s traditional colours and create something that we believe is truly stunning. A portion of each jersey sale will go towards funding Shelter Movers Ottawa’s “next 1,000 moves” and is dedicated to the survivors of intimate partner violence.
These are just five of the new additions that the team at Atlético Ottawa worked hard to put in place for the 2023 season, so keep your eyes peeled for number six and more at TD Place. Join us this weekend as we take on our Ontario rivals York United on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 5pm.
