🔎 Soccerlude Spotlight: Tackling Food Insecurity with Caldwell and MLF

In 2024, More than 15,000 meals were allocated to Caldwell Family Centre’s (CFC) progressive food bank programs thanks to Atlético Ottawa and Maple Lodge Farms.

The “Community First” Kit, Atlético’s primary jersey for the 2024 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season, was the best-selling jersey in club history, and what a time to break that record.

For every jersey sold, front-of-shirt sponsors Maple Lodge Farms (MLF) allocated 30 meals worth of their high-quality frozen chicken products.

Across the season, delivery after delivery came to CFC’s foodbank, filling their freezers and ensuring that the warm meals served to the community had a little taste of Atlético Ottawa thanks to Maple Lodge Farms.

Over 15,000 meals were allocated – more than planned – and as we approach the 2025 season Atlético, CFC and MLF are in talks to ensure the initiative takes another step forward.

We are glad to be able to count on MLF’s support once again, as all purchases of the 2025 Primary Jersey (which will be revealed on Saturday at Glebe Central Pub – SIGN UP HERE) will help tackle the food insecurity crisis in the nation’s capital.

Soccerlude gives us a chance to shine some light on these great initiatives, and the foundation is given by the support of our incredible Season Seat Members. Don’t miss your chance to secure your 2025 seat at the best possible price during Soccerlude.
