Atlético Ottawa has clinched a home match in the 2024 Canadian Premier League (CPL) Playoffs. Who will we play, and when will the matches be?

The Outcome! Presented by TonyBet is taking place this weekend. All CPL matches, across the country, are set to kick off at the same time. (All matches can be watched FREE on Youtube) The drama will be palpable, and the league standings will be finalized come the final whistle. At this stage, we will know our position (2nd or 3rd) and who we play next.
Here are the potential scenarios, depending on whether Atlético finishes 2nd or 3rd:
Atlético Ottawa finishes in 2nd place
If we finish in second place, we are within a shot of hosting another memorable CPL final here at TD Place. This is how it will work:
- Atlético Ottawa would travel to Forge FC (the CPL Regular Season Champions) for the CPL Final / Qualifying Semi-Final play-in match at Tim Horton’s Field on Sunday, October 27. 4pm EST Kickoff
If we win the Qualifying Semi-Final play-in match:
- We will have two weeks to prepare for the Canadian Premier League Final, hosted at TD Place in front of the best supporters in the league on November 9. 3pm EST Kickoff.
If we lose the Qualifying Semi-Final play-in match:
- We will drop down in the bracket to the Playoff Semi-Finals, which we will host at TD Place on the weekend of November 2/3 (final date and time TBC)
- Should we win: We will travel to Tim Horton’s Field for the Final
- Should we lose: We will be eliminated from the playoffs
Atlético Ottawa finishes in 3rd place
If we finish in third place, we will have our home playoff match locked in at TD Place as we are set to play on Sunday, October 27. 1pm EST kickoff. This is how our pathway will work:
- The team that finishes in 5th place will travel to York United on Wednesday, October 23 and the winner of that match will travel to TD Place on Sunday, October 27 to play Atlético Ottawa. 1pm EST kickoff.
If we win that match:
- Atlético will progress to the semi-finals and will play away from home for the rest of the CPL Playoffs
If we lose that match:
- Atlético’s Playoff run for the 2024 season will come to an end.
