Atlético Ottawa is proud to announce that Ollie Bassett has been named to the prestigious 2023 Canadian Premier League (CPL) Best XI Fuelled by Gatorade, marking a fitting conclusion to his outstanding second season with the club. The accolade follows Ollie’s exceptional performance, which included clinching the Golden Boot Award for his goal scoring exploits during the 2023 regular season.

Bassett’s impact on the field was evident as he scored an impressive 11 goals, tying with Cavalry FC striker Myer Bevan in the race for the Golden Boot. The British midfielder, who also recorded three crucial assists, has been a consistently high performer since joining Atlético Ottawa in January 2022, earning the affectionate moniker “Olliewood” from the dedicated fanbase at TD Place Stadium.
