The Halifax Wanderers played their final home match of the 2022 regular season, one that unfortunately for them saw a 2-1 loss to league-leaders Atlético Ottawa.
Max Tissot opened the scoring from an excellent free kick, before Zakaria Bahous scored his first professional goal in what would stand as the match winner. Sam Salter scored the lone goal for Halifax, as he now has 11 on the season which is tied with York United’s Osaze De Rosario for second in the league’s Golden Boot race.
After losing just four matches at Wanderers Grounds prior to this year, the loss was Halifax’s sixth at home in 2022, something Peter Schaale and Stephen Hart both said needs to improve next season if the club is to get back on track.
