After hundreds of applications and dozens of interviews, the exhaustive search for Cricket’s home is over. Our friends at Eastern Ontario Potcake Rescue are happy to report that Cricket was placed with his perfect match. We caught up with Julie, Executive Director of EOPR, to get the scoop…
ATO: Did he find his furever home? Tell us a little bit about his new owner?
EOPR: He did! He found the absolutely perfect home with Rosiane! Rosiane is a police officer who is super active, so you know that Cricket will have structure and lots of exercise.
ATO: Did you find his new home though Cricket’s Big Night?
EOPR: He DID! Rosiane saw Cricket’s info through the advertisement for the game and came out to see him. She met him briefly at the game and then put her application in to adopt him right away!
ATO: How is he doing with his new surroundings?
EOPR: He is doing AMAZING! Rosiane and her home environment is EXACTLY what we where looking for ! Cricket moved in and it was like he’d been there forever!
ATO: We have to know… since he is from the Islands, how does Cricket like the snow?
EOPR: CRICKET LOVES THE SNOW!!
ATO: Final question… Does he still love soccer and his fav club Atlético Ottawa?
EOPR: OF COURSE HE DOES! He still has his jersey and he hopes he can attend a game next year when we feature another dog!!!
ATO: Great Idea Julie! We are on the case! Thanks to everyone who made Cricket’s Big Night happen!
