Atlético Ottawa and York United put on a show in the final match at TD Place of the 2021 season, as the two Ontario sides fought out a high-octane 1-1 draw.
The home side found the scoresheet early in the first half, as local phenom Antoine Coupland’s shot from outside the box took a deflection and beat goalkeeper Nathan Ingham to put Ottawa up 1-0 just 15 minutes into the match.
Ottawa couldn’t finish the rest of their opportunities, though, as York fought back from a goal down and, in the 80th minute, they at last found their equalizer as Noah Verhoeven’s cross found the head of Chrisnovic N’sa in the box.
